Our client has an immediate need for a Network Support Technician, who will be responsible for support/troubleshooting and assisting projects with issues related to that, network troubleshooting and diagnostics, supporting technology infrastructure for critical applications, utilizing capture to determine communication anomalies, and isolate

Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in data processing/related field
• 3 -5 years of experience
• Working knowledge of Cisco Routers: Hardware & software
• Experience with WAN links such as MPLS, GigE, and broadband
• Experience with Layer 2 protocols such as Vlans, Spanning Tree
• Experience with Layer 3 routing protocols such as eigrp, bgp, ospf
• Experience with TCP/IP and related protocols
• Working knowledge of network packet capture tools such as Wireshark, WildPackets, etc.
• ITIL Foundations or experience with concepts such as Request, Incident, Problem, and Change
• Ability to utilize network packet capture to diagnose network communication anomalies and disruptions
• Working knowledge of DNS administration (preferred - Bluecat DNS product experience)
• Experience with any work with site reliability engineering (SRE) is a plus
• Scripting experience is a plus
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, and Ansible is a plus
• Experience troubleshooting complex enterprise environments is a plus
• Experience with F5 administration is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Installing, configuring, and supporting an organization s systems or a segment of a network system
• Studying and documenting present workflow and procedures
• Identifying potential computer networking and computer application areas
• Configuring and analyzing email applications or virus protection software
• Writing, testing, and debugging complex programs
• Preparing system flow diagrams and developing systems procedures
• Providing technical assistance and training to user staff and to programming and operation personnel
• Preparing, coordinating, and supervising systems implementation
• Performing advanced administration requiring sound and thorough knowledge of specified operational products /services
• Providing technical operational, analytical, and research support to technical teams through both written and verbal communications
• Driving incident resolution and root cause analysis of production problems
• Administering, executing processes/procedures, and addressing issues for products and services supported in Technology Infrastructure
• Supporting analysis and reporting generation, exception processing, and service management
• Implementing new products, services, and operational solutions as well as augmenting existing capabilities
• Developing and maintaining technical, operational, and service procedures, as well as process workflows for operational/applications teams.
